Description
The STIHL HTA 160 gives professional arborists, orchard operators, and land management crews the reach and precision needed to work confidently high in the canopy without leaving the ground. Its telescoping shaft extends to more than 13 feet, making it easier to prune, thin crowns, remove storm-damaged limbs, and maintain fruit trees while maintaining excellent control at working height. A lightweight magnesium gearbox keeps the tool maneuverable, while the powerful brushless motor delivers the cutting performance needed to handle branches and small trees up to 8 inches in diameter.Just as impressive as its reach is the way the HTA 160 helps make demanding tree care work more efficient. The rigid square-profile shaft provides stable, accurate positioning for precise cuts, while the variable-speed trigger gives users greater control when navigating complex cuts in the canopy. A durable branch hook integrated into the cutting head helps pull away loose branches, and the side chain tensioning system makes adjustments quick and convenient. The ergonomically optimized handle places all controls within easy reach and features a digital interface with LED display for added convenience. Built to withstand professional use, the HTA 160 also features an easy-to-clean metal mesh air filter for optimal cooling, IPX4-rated splash resistance, and compatibility with both STIHL ALLPRO and STIHL AP batteries, making it a dependable choice for demanding tree maintenance in a wide range of conditions. All cordless power tools in the STIHL ALLPRO System are engineered for professional use and daily operation, even when exposed to weather conditions. STIHL does not recommend use of any produt in the rain. These tools are certified as splash-resistant, with protection verified through rigorous internal testing, including testing aligned with the IPX4 water-resistance standard.Note: Tools in the STIHL AP System are compatible with both STIHL ALLPRO batteries and STIHL AP batteries.
